The Shield confirmed for UK tour

What's the story?

The WWE are embarking on a UK tour throughout November and have just announced that UK fans will see the freshly reunited Shield in action. But it isn't just fans that are excited about the prospect of The Shield in England, as a WWE UK Championship wrestler has teased a huge match for the Hounds of Justice.

In case you didn't know...

On the October 9th edition of Monday Night Raw, Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns came back together as the hugely popular and successful stable, The Shield. The trio are scheduled to face The Miz, The Bar (Sheamus and Cesaro) and Braun Strowman at Tables, Ladders and Chairs 2017.

The heart of the matter

The WWE UK Twitter page just announced that The Shield would be appearing at the WWE UK tour, with the following tweet,

It would appear that The Shield announcement has not gone unnoticed amongst the WWE UK competitors with Trent Seven calling up former WWE UK Champion Tyler Bate, and current WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne for a potential showdown on their home turf.

What's next?

Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate and Trent Seven may be at odds on WWE programming, but in the indy circuit they make up a team called 'British Strong Style'. I thought the trio would unite as 'British Strong Style' to take on The Undisputed Era following the beat down they received at the hands of Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish on NXT not too long ago. However, The Shield is arguably a better reason for them to do so, and the match would 100% steal the show.

Author's take

Currently, none of the WWE UK guys have been announced, but Trent Seven's tweet was shared by WWE UK on Twitter so you can probably expect at least one of them to show up seeing as the events will be just around the corner. That means that the dream 3 vs 3 match is a distinct possibility. If it happens, I'll sure be trying to get tickets to see it.
