What's the story?

As per a recent report by the Observer (Via Cageside seats), WWE is looking at doing more with the U.K. situation. Also, Triple H has hinted that something bigger will be coming up there soon.

In case you didn't know...

The WWE hosted the first ever UK Tournament in January 2017 which saw 16 competitors from the UK battle it out to become the first ever UK Champion.

It was Tyler Bate and Pete Dunne who made it to the finals with the 20-year old prodigy, Tyler Bate picking up the win.

It was rumoured that WWE will start a UK based network show soon after the tournament ended, much like they did with the Cruiserweight division. However, even after much speculation, the idea has still not seen the light of day.

The UK Championship has been defended multiple times on NXT shows and many of the UK competitors like Pete Dunne, Mark Andrews and Tyler Bate have been regulars on NXT and 205 Live.

The heart of the matter

With WWE showing interest in the UK division yet again, we might get the UK show finally in 2018.

Triple H has also stated that big things can be expected and even though we are not clear at this point as to what that could mean, one thing is for sure that the WWE will be putting in a lot of effort into making this work.

What's next?

The Current UK Champion, Pete Dunne has advanced in the on-going Dusty Rhodes Tag Team classic in NXT along with his partner Roderick Strong. Both being incredibly talented, it is highly likely that the duo might just win the Classic.

Author's take

The fans have been waiting for the UK show for a long time which would feature favourites like Pete Dunne, Tyler Bate and Wolfgang to take off for over a year now and it is high time WWE pull the trigger.
