Goldberg to call out WWE legend, Spear vs. Spear battle before retiring? - 4 Things Da Man could do at Crown Jewel 2024

Goldberg is a legend in and out of WWE. He started his pro wrestling career in World Championship Wrestling where he became a multi-time world champion. Once the company went under, he'd eventually find his way to the biggest wrestling company in the world.

In 2003, Bill Goldberg joined World Wrestling Entertainment and he quickly became the World Heavyweight Champion. While he left after just a year, he came back over a decade later and went on to become a world champion again.

After seemingly being done with the Sports Entertainment juggernaut for good, Goldberg appeared at Bad Blood and shocked many fans in the process. Now many believe he may have one last run in him, or at least one last match.

The company's next premium live event is Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia. This article will take a look at four things the former WCW Champion could do if Da Man appears at the big-time show in early November, which could include costing a star a world title.

Below are four things Goldberg could do at WWE Crown Jewel 2024.

#4. Bron Breakker could call out the WWE Hall of Famer

Bron Breakker is one of the most talented young stars in WWE today. The son of Rick Steiner and the nephew of Scott Steiner, Bron won the NXT Championship twice, the NXT Tag Team Titles once, and he even held the Intercontinental Championship recently.

Many fans have compared the Big Bad Booty Nephew to Goldberg. While this is primarily thanks to both men utilizing the Spear as a finishing move, it also has to do with their quick rise in the industry and both men's unmatched intensity and explosiveness.

In what could lead to a great passing of the torch moment, Bron Breakker could show up at Crown Jewel and challenge Goldberg to a future match. A Spear vs. Spear bout where the legend ultimately puts over Breakker would be great for Bron and it'd give Goldberg a satisfying conclusion to his wrestling career.

#3. He could cost Gunther the World Heavyweight Championship

Gunther is one of the best pro wrestlers in the world today. The Ring General is the reigning World Heavyweight Champion, but he also has set two records in WWE. His time as the United Kingdom Champion and the Intercontinental Champion set records for both titles.

The Ring General and Goldberg are so different that it may seem bizarre to even imagine the two interacting, but it has happened. When Goldberg appeared at WWE Bad Blood, Gunther decided to belittle the legend. If it weren't for security, the two were likely going to come to blows.

At Crown Jewel, Gunther will go one-on-one with Cody Rhodes to determine which world champion is superior. In what could be a stunning development, Goldberg could show up and Spear Gunther behind the referee's back. This could, in turn, allow Cody to win and set up a future bout between Da Man and the Austrian.

#2. Goldberg could have an impromptu squash match

Goldberg isn't getting any younger. The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion is 57 years old. While he's in better shape than almost any other man of his age, his ability to compete is still nearing the end.

The thing about Goldberg is, even at his peak, he wasn't known for having great matches. What people loved about the WWE Hall of Famer was how he would decimate his opponents and stand tall within a minute or two.

That may be the best way for Goldberg to go out and that might be what Triple H books at Crown Jewel. Goldberg could be booked in an impromptu squash match where he ends his career just as he started it: by destroying a performer and pinning them within a minute. Perhaps Akira Tozawa could fall victim to Da Man?

#1. He could call out Brock Lesnar for one more match

When Bill Goldberg returned to WWE less than a decade ago, it came after two big moments. First and foremost, he was announced for a WWE 2K game. Perhaps more notably, Paul Heyman and Brock Lesnar called him out.

Fast forward to 2024 and Brock Lesnar hasn't been seen on television in over a year now. In what could be an interesting move, WWE could have Bill Goldberg replicate what started the two men fighting almost a decade ago, but in reverse.

Goldberg could appear at Crown Jewel and take a microphone. From there, Da Man could shockingly throw out a challenge to Brock Lesnar for a future show. This could be how The Beast is reintroduced to television and it could be the perfect way for Goldberg to go out. A rematch with Lesnar would be box office and very memorable.
