Goldberg to return & announce his final match; The Judgment Day's next feud? 4 Surprises that may happen on WWE RAW after Saturday Night's Main Event

This week's edition of WWE Monday Night RAW may throw up some surprises. After the successful conclusion of Saturday Night's Main Event, existing storylines could be followed up with some new twists.

The current champions could meet their new challengers, while some stars might return to get involved in ongoing storylines. This listicle will discuss four surprises that could take place on tonight's RAW:

#4. Goldberg could return to challenge Gunther for a match at Royal Rumble

WWE legend Goldberg could be Gunther's next challenger for the World Heavyweight Championship. The Ring General retained his title against Damian Priest and Finn Balor in a Triple Threat Match at Saturday Night's Main Event.

Notably, he had a confrontation with Goldberg at the Bad Blood PLE earlier in October. Goldberg is set to have his retirement match in the Stamford-based company next year. In line with this, the former Universal Champion may show up on tonight's RAW and challenge The Ring General to a match at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

#3. Jey Uso might return to confront Drew McIntyre

The YEET Master could return on tonight's RAW to issue a one-on-one challenge to Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Warrior attacked Jey Uso on an edition of the flagship show earlier this month. On the December 9 edition of the Monday Night Show, Drew revealed that he was the one who attacked Jey.

The Chosen One lambasted Jey and Sami Zayn for joining forces with Roman Reigns. With McIntyre attacking Jimmy Uso on last week's SmackDown and defeating Sami Zayn at SNME, The YEET Master could return tonight to teach the former world champion a lesson.

The former Intercontinental Champion could challenge The Scottish Psychopath to a match at the upcoming season premiere of RAW on Netflix on January 6, 2025.

#2. The New Day may attack The Judgment Day and The War Raiders on WWE RAW

Over the past few months, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods have been incensed by continued losses and lack of title reigns. Moreover, Woods recently took a jab at RAW General Manager Adam Pearce on X (Twitter) over the mismanagement of the tag team division on the red brand.

Pearce didn't stay quiet, reminding the erstwhile King Woods that The New Day recently lost to the Alpha Academy in 30 seconds.

The 46-year-old further asked Xavier to come to his office to discuss things. Tonight on WWE RAW, The New Day may get into a scuffle with Pearce. Later, the heels could attack The Judgment Day and The War Raiders during the World Tag Team Championship match. This might open up a possibility of a Triple Threat tornado tag team match for Finn Balor and JD McDonagh's gold at the 2025 Royal Rumble.

#1. Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY could be booked in a singles match to determine Liv Morgan's next opponent

Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY could soon battle inside the squared circle, as they are top contenders for Liv Morgan's WWE Women's World Championship. SKY failed to dethrone The Miracle Kid at Saturday Night's Main Event. However, she may still stake her claim to another title match.

The company teased a rivalry between Mami and SKY last week on RAW when they had a minor face-off while holding the Women's World Championship simultaneously.

After Liv retained her title this past Saturday, Rhea Ripley came out to have a face-off with the 30-year-old. On tonight's WWE RAW, The Eradicator and The Genius of The Sky could have a heated confrontation. Later, Adam Pearce could announce that Ripley and SKY would lock horns on January 6 to determine the number one contender for Morgan's title.
