Hail to the new leader? 4 WWE solutions as huge Judgment Day rumor surfaces after Rhea Ripley & Damian Priest's betrayal

Before RAW hits the airwaves, a recent Wrestlevotes rumor mentioned that WWE was dabbling with the idea of renaming 'The Judgment Day.' After Dominik Mysterio and Finn Balor betrayed Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest at SummerSlam, something had to change.

Priest and Ripley were two of the founding members of the original Judgment Day. The group was the brainchild of Edge, but he didn't last long as the leader. Finn Balor later joined the faction as The Rated R Superstar was sent packing.

With two of the group's founding members no longer associated with it, what will WWE do to rebrand the faction under Balor? The next four monikers could replace 'The Judgment Day' name after the betrayals of Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley.

#4. Vengeance Day or another similar name

Finn Balor mentioned how he waited an entire year to turn his back on Priest at SummerSlam. He blamed The Archer of Infamy for playing a part in his inability to win the World Heavyweight Championship the previous summer.

A simple but easy way to rename 'The Judgment Day' would be to replace the first word with 'Vengeance.' Balor wanted just that from his former friend for winning the title he couldn't capture.

The potential 'The Vengeance Day' also obliterated what fans knew as 'The Judgment Day,' so playing on that act could give the new-look faction a relatively similar name. If not 'Vengeance,' another similar word could be the replacement.

#3. The Other Side would play on The Judgment Day's theme

As one of the best theme songs in professional wrestling, The Other Side by Alterbridge clearly set The Judgment Day apart from the rest of WWE. The metal theme fit the group's aesthetic and had a memorable hook like Edge's theme song, Metalingus.

Since the rest of the group betrayed two of its founding members, WWE could play with how things look on the other side of the group. Balor was furious that his friend could do what he could not, i.e. win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Now that they've turned on Priest and Ripley, there are two clear sides in the feud. Dropping the Alterbridge theme would be a waste since the majority of current WWE themes have proven to be generic and forgetful.

#2. Is it time for The Balor Club?

One could argue that The Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling kickstarted the new golden age of factions in pro wrestling. Finn Balor formed the group a decade ago before joining WWE. The faction lives on today after several changes in leadership over the years.

While The Bullet Club has kept its name, renaming 'The Judgment Day' makes sense. Balor is the last remaining member from the group's beginnings, and he is a top singles star.

Renaming the faction 'The Balor Club' could show how he was in charge and the group's top star. It would also leave the door open for past Bullet Club members to potentially join up should they join WWE or switch brands.

#1. 'Street Trash' is the name rumored for the new group

The rumored name from the report plays on recent insults hurled towards Damian Priest and the faction. As he was dealing with Gunther leading up to SummerSlam, The Ring General referred to Priest and his friends as "street trash."

It was a way to disparage the champion and his path to the top of WWE. Gunther referred to the entire group as less than that, so the new faction could potentially adopt and own those words as its new moniker.

The name would always evoke the betrayal and remind Priest how he lost the title to Gunther. Adopting the name would also be something completely different in Triple H's new era of WWE.
