Heat on Ziggler, original Owens vs Cena plans, Triple H behind Cesaro & Kidd
- According to the Wrestling Observer there was heat backstage on Dolph Ziggler following Payback because it was believed he deliberately headbutted Sheamus in order to bust himself open. Officials viewed the move as “dumb and reckless.”
WWE currently has a no bleeding policy because of the PG era, which means blading is banned. While accidents obviously happen, deliberately making yourself bleed (without a blade) is a frowned upon loophole. Ziggler, who needed 10 stitches following the match, won’t be fined because only blading carries a fine.
- WWE had orginally planned to do the Kevin Owens vs John Cena feud in the Summer, but they moved it up in order to promote NXT Takeover: Unstoppable and to entice people to keep the Network after the free month, which expires the night of Elimination Chamber. Owens is set for a big push when he makes it to the main roster.
- Triple H is said to be a big supporter of Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, and putting them together may have been a way to show Vince McMahon that they are over and worth pushing as singles stars.
