Hell In A Cell 2012: Odds, Wants and Predictions
Hell In A Cell is only days away, and this usually disappointing PPV is actually shaping up to be pretty damn good. Unlike previous installments of the gimmick PPV, Hell In A Cell has got a lot of build-up, and even though there are a few matches which are not very exciting, the main event sure as hell makes up for it. It’s time for me to give you the odds for each match, what I would like to see happen, and my predictions for the event. Here we go!
Randy Orton vs. Alberto Del Rio
Odds: Randy Orton has a 1-2 chance of winning, while Del Rio has a 1-4 chance.
Want: As much as I am a critic of Super-Orton, I would rather have him win this one. Del Rio has lost a lot of steam, and there is no point in having him win. Orton, however, is apparently in talks to turn heel when WWE trusts Sheamus enough to be the top face of Smackdown, so hopefully a win over Del Rio can somehow transition over momentum in what I pray will be an upcoming heel turn.
Prediction: As I stated before, Del Rio has no steam, and Orton is “Super-Orton”. RKO out of nowhere for the pinfall.
Eve Torres (c) vs. Layla vs. Kaitlyn
Odds: Eve has the clear advantage with a 1-2 chance of winning, while Layla and Kaitlyn have almost no chance with 1-8 and 1-10 chances respectively.
Want: For Kharma to make a surprise reappearance and win the title, only for Sara Del Ray to make her debut and challenge Kharma for the title.
Prediction: Eve wins.
Team Hell No (c) vs. Team Rhodes Scholars
Odds: The odds are pretty close for this one, with Rhodes Scholars getting the slight advantage with a 1-2 chance, and Hell No having a 1-3 chance.
Want: I really like every guy in this match, but I feel that the Rhodes Scholars wouldn’t benefit from winning the gold, as they should be elevated to the World Title scene as fast as possible. Therefore, I would like Team Hell No to retain.
Prediction: Team Hell No retains via No Lock.
Kofi Kingston (c) vs. The Miz
Odds: Kofi Kingston has a 1-2 chance, while The Miz has a 1-5 chance.
Want: I probably going to get a little hate for this, but I like the Miz a lot better than I like Kofi. But, seeing the IC title change hands would undermine it’s value and wouldn’t help anyone. Therefore, it would be better for Kofi to retain, and hopefully have WWE start their rumoured main event push for the Miz.
Prediction: Kofi Kingston wins after a nasty-looking Trouble In Paradise.
Sheamus (c) vs. Big Show
Odds: This shouldn’t be a surprise. Sheamus has a 1-2 chance of winning, whole Big Show has a 1-6 chance.
Want: To be honest, I’m not too crazy about either guys. So, the most enjoyable situation for me would be for either men to win, with Dolph Ziggler cashing in his briefcase right after the match to become the new World Heavyweight Champion.
Prediction: Sheamus wins after multiple Brogue Kicks, Dolph Ziggler attempts to cash-in, but is taken out before the match starts.
CM Punk (c) vs. Ryback
Odds: The undefeated Ryback has a 1-2 chance of winning, while CM Punk has the surprisingly low chance of 1-9.
Want: I like Ryback, I really do. WWE has done a great job of getting over with the fans. But he’s not at the point yet where he can be the top guy. Not yet. And no one else should be facing the Rock at the Rumble other than Punk. That’s why Punk needs to win (dirty, of course).
Prediction: CM Punk wins through some sort of nefarious action.
