Hulk Hogan says he still has one match left; talks about John Cena turning heel and more
Hulk Hogan was interviewed by CBS affiliate KPIX in San Francisco on Monday morning. During the interview, Hogan discussed The Undertaker’s streak ending and WrestleMania 31 going to the Bay Area next year. Hogan also discussed his segment with The Rock and Steve Austin at WrestleMania XXX, and said that it was one of his favorite memories. He said that when the place went crazy when Austin came out, it showed that they should have had a match together. He noted that the place went even higher when The Rock came out, and that the segment was a moment that will live forever.
Hogan was also asked if he has one more match left in him, and after thinking about it for a minute, he said that he did. He noted that if he could have one more match, it would be with John Cena, whom he “loves to death and is the horsepower of the company.” Hogan stated that Cena was polarizing, and that while he’s been both a top heel and top babyface, Cena is at a crossroad in his career.
“At the end of the day you have to listen to what those fans want,” Hogan admitted. “Right now it’s 50/50 good guy John Cena, 50/50 bad guy John Cena. He’s at a crossroads brother, it’s a tough decision.”
Hogan said that Cena will know what to do, and that sometimes the bad guys get cheered louder than the good guys. He said that if Cena and Hogan were to go down at WrestleMania 31 next year, they “better widen the stadium.” He said that he loves this business, and it kills him that he can’t get in the ring.
