Hosting state of mind and title pursuits - 4 Ways Alexa Bliss can make her WWE return at SummerSlam 2024

Alexa Bliss has been absent from WWE for nearly a year and a half due to maternity leave. Her last match was against Bianca Belair at the 2023 Royal Rumble.

Despite her absence from WWE, fans have anticipated her return at several moments. She's a former Money in the Bank winner, so fans thought she could re-emerge at the PLE in Toronto.

Queen of the Ring would also have been a memorable spot for a return. With the debut of the Wyatt Sicks, fans also thought she could come back as a member of the new faction. With SummerSlam in Cleveland, Alexa Bliss could return to WWE in one of the next four ways.

#4. Bliss as the mystery partner in a tag team turmoil title match

It appears the Unholy Union will defend their tag team titles in another multi-team match. It's how Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn won the titles at Clash at the Castle.

With the emergence of Sonya Deville, Shayna Baszler, and Zoey Stark as a trio, they're gunning for gold. The same goes for Bianca Belair and Jade Cargill. WWE may try to make it a Fatal Fourway or add more teams to the fray.

Alexa Bliss could return to action as a mystery partner of someone like Asuka (if medically cleared and she turns on Damage CTRL), Michin, Natalya, or Raquel Rodriguez (if in remission from MCAS). She won the tag titles with Asuka before the Empress joined Damage CTRL.

#3. Welcome the guest host of SummerSlam!

Several WWE stars from Ohio will have spots on the SummerSlam card. Johnny Gargano, The Miz, and Logan Paul all have ties to Cleveland and will likely be featured.

Alexa Bliss is not from Cleveland but is a native of Columbus, Ohio. If she isn't wrestling, utilizing her as a guest host for the event would be a smart way to ease her back into things.

Trish Stratus hosted Money in the Bank from Toronto, and Bliss previously hosted WrestleMania 35. The appearance could set up several feuds for when she is ready to resume her in-ring career.

#2. Confronting the winners of SummerSlam title matches

Unless Tiffany Stratton cashes in her Money in the Bank contract before or at SummerSlam, Liv Morgan, and Bayley will enter Cleveland as champions. Nia Jax, Rhea Ripley, or Stratton could emerge with titles.

Bayley triumphantly returned from an injury in 2022 after Bianca Belair beat Becky Lynch. The EST and Bayley battled each other for close to two years. With SummerSlam taking place in Cleveland, it would be a perfect spot for a Bliss return.

She could confront whichever star leaves as the WWE Women's Champion or Women's World Champion. It would just depend on the brand she's assigned to. With that, her first feud would be set.

#1. Alexa Bliss confronts the Wyatt Sicks

Alexa Bliss will always be linked to Bray Wyatt and Uncle Howdy. She was among the few stars who worked with both due to her ability to pull off character work.

Previously, Uncle Howdy tried to convince Bliss that she wasn't in control of her actions before she went on her hiatus. The multi-time champion wasn't happy with that. Bliss was also friends with Nikki Cross (Abby the Witch in the faction), winning tag team gold twice.

Some fans hoped Bliss would be among the masked performers when the Wyatt Sicks debuted. She wasn't involved, causing fans to speculate about her next move.

If the group enters the ring at SummerSlam, a returning Alexa Bliss could confront the members in the middle of the ring. She could then attack the group or complete the faction as the sixth member.
