How Brock Lesnar could cost Cody Rhodes the World Heavyweight Championship tonight on WWE RAW

Brock Lesnar was visibly unhappy about the way his match against Cody Rhodes ended at WWE Backlash. Rhodes was able to pull a fast one against The Beast at the PLE, pinning him while he was locked in a submission hold. But has the American Nightmare put The Beast behind him?

Cody's win in Puerto Rico came at a time when he most needed it. After a disheartening loss against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania and getting mauled by Lesnar on the episode of WWE RAW after WrestleMania, Rhodes needed a morale booster.

At WWE Backlash, Cody Rhodes proved that he is quick on his feet and doesn't step back from a challenge. He brought the offense to Brock Lesnar before the match was officially underway and didn't miss a chance when they made their way inside the ring.

Toward the end of the match, Lesnar had Rhodes in a Kimura Lock. The former AEW star used his presence of mind and shifted his weight to pin The Beast. However, the way the match ended did not bode well with Lesnar, as both his shoulders were not down while getting pinned.

Cody vs Balor vs Miz

Seth vs Priest vs Nakamura

Two Triple Threat matches that are a part of the World Heavyweight Championship are reported for tonight's WWE RAW. One of them includes Cody Rhodes, Finn Balor, and The Miz. Brock Lesnar may see the match as an opportunity to interfere and cost Rhodes the chance to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Did Brock Lesnar blade in his match against Cody Rhodes?

At WWE Backlash, Cody Rhodes left his opponent in a bloody mess. During their match, Brock Lesnar charged towards the American Nightmare while he was in the corner. Rhodes sidestepped Lesnar, driving him into the exposed turnbuckle which led to Lesnar being busted open.

Fans were convinced that The Beast used a blade to cut himself, a method many wrestlers follow. However, a report analyzing his bump showed the wrestling community that he, in fact, bled the hard way instead of using a blade.

"The blood with Brock Lesnar vs. Cody Rhodes was attempted and not an accident. Lesnar is allowed to do that although blading, which is far safer then smashing your forehead hard into steel to get blood, is not allowed in WWE." (H/T PWMania)

Only time will tell what is next for The Beast moving forward.
