How did Drew McIntyre get cast in his first Hollywood film The Killer's Game? Details explored

Drew McIntyre has quite the stacked resume to his name. As a WWE Superstar, he has won almost everything the company has to offer, and main evented some of the biggest events around the world. And now, he has even taken a step into Hollywood with a role in the film The Killer's Game. But, how did he get the part?

In a promotional interview with Chris Van Vliet, Drew McIntyre spilled the details. Playing the role of Rory Mackenzie, he explained that it was Dave Bautista who helped him get the job. Simply put, The Animal was told about the character and knew that there was only one person for the job, so he called in McIntyre.

Drew McIntyre revealed that the director of the film, J.J. Perry told Batista what he was looking for in the role. Given that the premise of the film is a hitman putting a hit out on himself, Perry had the idea for a pair of Scottish brothers who answer the call. And, when breaking down the character of Rory, the description matched one person and one person only, The Scottish Warrior.

"The director, J.J. Perry had said, "I got this idea for these Scottish brothers, the Mackenzie brothers. I have one of them. The other one I just want to be this big, imposing guy, that can feasibly and realistically beat you up. And, I just want them to have these thick Scottish accents and be just wild. Drinking, partying badasses that are somewhat unintelligible because of their thick accents". And, Dave basically said, "I actually know that guy, he exists". And, he called me!" said Drew McIntyre [3:38-4:10]

Safe to say Batista hit gold when he decided to call up McIntyre. So, assuming the latter remains true to the role, it makes The Killer's Game a must-see, both for the WWE Universe and movie buffs alike.

Drew McIntyre's feud with CM Punk is far from over

From the drama on the big screen to the drama in the squared circle, Drew McIntyre is in the thick of it in WWE. Currently feuding with The Voice of the Voiceless, CM Punk, their rivalry has been a rollercoaster ride. But, while Punk seemed to wash his hands of it after Bash in Berlin, the Scottish Warrior had other plans.

With a brutal attack on this week's episode of Raw, McIntyre made one thing clear, he is not done with CM Punk. Not only did he leave Punk on a stretcher, but he also took things one step further and destroyed The Best in the World's cherished bracelet. With that in mind, it seems obvious we will be getting a third match between the two.

Given the "bad blood" between the two, it feels like the conclusion of their rivalry is tailor-made for the Bad Blood PLE. However, at this point, nothing is locked in, and we will just have to wait and see how this storyline progresses in the coming weeks.
