How Vince McMahon reacted when he was told The Bunny was 'not good entertainment'

Former WWE producer Arn Anderson discussed the 2014 Survivor Series pay-per-view on the latest episode of his weekly podcast, ARN.

One of the most bizarre moments from the PPV came when Adam Rose and The Bunny defeated Heath Slater and Titus O’Neil in a two-minute tag team match, with The Bunny (played by Justin Gabriel) pinning Slater after a missile dropkick to pick up a shock victory.

Anderson, who had an important backstage role in WWE at the time, thought it was “criminal” to use Slater in that role and he felt The Bunny was “not good entertainment”.

Asked by host Conrad Thompson whether anybody spoke up to Vince McMahon about The Bunny, Anderson revealed that he said something to the WWE Chairman but his input was “not met very favourably” whenever he had an opinion that would have changed the company's creative direction.

“Well, yeah, I know one that did and that’s why I’m sitting here doing this podcast with you! I spoke up, of course I did. If you’re paid to not just be a ‘Yes Man’ and you’re paid for your knowledge and your experience and your wisdom, whether it’s during a meeting or you wait and go back after the meeting and voice a different way to go, even if it’s the complete opposite of where creative is heading that day, it’s not met very favourably, I can tell you that.”
