How WWE has probably officially teased a feud between The Undertaker and Elias
At WrestleMania 35, The Undertaker's absence indicated that it might actually be the end of the road for The Phenom, who has historically been synonymous with WrestleMania. The Undertaker is arguably the greatest performer seen in the history of WWE.
His sheer dedication to his gimmick, along with his in-ring abilities made him the most fierce wrestler in the company.
In the recent past, owing to his age and decreased agility between the ropes, calls had been made by certain sections of the WWE Universe for The Undertaker to hang up his boots. After all, they want the legacy of The Undertaker to be preserved and not get devalued due to his low-quality matches in the past few years.
However, a majority of the fans still want to see The Undertaker on their television screens weekly, and watch him live, just like they used to do a decade ago.
At WrestleMania 34, he did give an appearance, just for the sake of it, as he defeated John Cena in a squash match. Since WrestleMania 34, he had wrestled three matches - against Rusev in a Casket Match at the Greatest Royal Rumble event, against Triple H at the Super Show-Down event and against D-Generation X, alongside his brother Kane at the Crown Jewel event.
Although these matches were heavily criticized by the fans for being too slow, it was heavily speculated whether or not The Undertaker will make an appearance at WrestleMania 35 or not.
To the disappointment of millions of fans, he did not show up and there was no mention of it from the WWE as well.
On the very next night at the Raw episode after WrestleMania, The Undertaker did make an appearance, interrupting Elias in his musical segment. Fans were glad to see their favorite wrestler once again, and even happier when they saw that The Phenom was in much better shape than earlier.
It was believed that this may be a one-off appearance for The Undertaker, like many others in the past.
However, it seems WWE may have officially teased a long term feud between The Undertaker and Elias through their Instagram account. A picture was posted on April 11, 2019, on the official Instagram page of the WWE which read: "THE DEAD HAS RISEN", with Elias being tagged in the post as well.
If we go by the recent posts on the official Instagram page of The Undertaker, he has been working extremely hard to get back into a better shape.
Although he may not be able to reach the heights he once did, however, if he is able to produce good quality matches in the limited appearances he tends to give, then his long-time fans would be more than happy.
