Huge line-up announced for WWE's return to the USA Network, new announce team
WWE is going the extra mile to mark the return of WWE SmackDown to the USA Network this Thursday, by announcing a hot & heavy card for the occasion. Two title matches and the appearance of John Cena are among the major attractions to try and lure in eyeballs for the show.
While Becky Lynch, following her victory on RAW, is set to challenge WWE Divas champion Charlotte for the title, Kevin Owens is set to go one-on-one for the Intercontinental title against current champion Dean Ambrose on SmackDown.
Below is the updated line-up for the show:
* John Cena appears
* Mauro Ranallo debuts on the announce team
* Kevin Owens vs. Dean Ambrose for the WWE Intercontinental Title
* Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte for the WWE Divas Title
Also note-worthy is that former NJPW announcer Mauro Ranallo makes his WWE debut, calling the action with the likes of Byron Saxton and Jerry Lawler.
On a related note, last Thursday’s New Year’s Eve edition of SmackDown, the final show on Syfy, drew 1.658 million viewers.
This is down from last Tuesday’s Super SmackDown, which got 2.264 million viewers, and down from the 2.332 million viewers that the previous episode of SmackDown saw.
