Huge update on the main event at Night of Champions, The Rock promotes WWE head writer

Update on NOC main event

- Seth Rollins will be taking part in two blockbuster matches at the upcoming Night of Champions Pay-per-view. He will be defending his WWE World Heavyweight Championship and the US Championship. Two matches on the same night against two icons for two prestigious Championships. What else could anyone ask for?

Now, there is an update regarding the order in which these two matches will take place on this night. It was a general practice that the main event will be for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship but reports read something different. Speculations are high that the main event will be against Cena for the US title but not against Sting. This was not officially announced but WWE has indicated that this could happen. This is a match that could change the landscape of the company. Rollins has everything to protect whereas Sting and Cena have nothing to lose. Let’s see if Seth makes this a career defining night.

- It was reported by Deadline that former WWE head writer, Brian Gewirtz has signed on as the Senior Vice-President of TV Development for the Seven Bucks Production company owned by The Rock and Dany Garcia’s. Over the past 16 years, Gewirtz and Johnson have been creative collaborators. These two first met in 1999 when Gerwitz was working as a writer for WWE and The Rock was one of WWE’s biggest stars. Gewirtz became WWE’s youngest lead writer in 2002 when he was named to the post on flagship Monday Night Raw. Gewirtz played a crucial role in the WWE’s creative department and helped Monday Night Raw become the longest running weekly episode in TV history.

These two worked together for The Tonight ShowSaturday Night Live and the Academy Awards. Gewirtz began his career writing sitcoms for USA Network, NBC Universal, and Fox Family. Since 2013, Brian has been working with the company as a creative consultant. Now, he will look over the development of television content for Seven Bucks Productions. Regarding this, The Rock commented on this ZZas follows-

“Brian and I have had a saying for the last 15 years, every time we work together which is “Let’s knock this outta the park” and we’ve been lucky enough to hit a few bangers that are still sailing.”
