Brooke Hogan (real name: Brooke Ellen Bollea) was born on May 5, 1988 in Tampa, Florida. She is the eldest child of Hulk Hogan and his first wife Linda Claridge. Brooke has a brother named Nick Hogan who was born on July 27, 1990.
Brooke was interested in music from a very young age and aspired to be a pop-star. She attended dance, gymnastics, piano and voice classes during High School. Brooke sang inhibitor chorus and was part of the cheerleading squad of her school, Clearwater Central Catholic High School.
Hulkster’s daughter began working on her first album at the age of 14. She gained popularity appearing alongside her father in the reality television series Hogan Knows Best which telecasted from 2005 to 2007. The show featured teenage Brooke dealing with her overprotective dad and her preparations for her debut album.
Her debut album, Undiscovered, which released in 2006 became an instant success with an estimated 127,000 copies sold in the United States. Her single from the album, “About Us” reached number 33 of the Billboard Hot 100 chart and till date remains her only successful single in her career.
Brooke starred in two successful seasons of Brooke Knows Best from 2008 to 2009, which was a spin-off of her father’s series. The reality show followed her life, music career and struggles after relocating to Miami. In 2009, she released her second album, The Redemption. It received mixed reception from critics but did not fare well among fans selling only 15,000 copies.
Besides singing and songwriting Brooke has also appeared in numerous low budget films and television shows. Brooke was signed up by TNA on May 17, 2012. She appeared as an on-screen personality in the promotion and was a backstage consultant to the TNA Knockouts.
She promoted the TNA women’s division and was part of a romantic storyline involving Bully Ray. She was released from the promotion a year later on August 16, 2013.
Brooke along with Teal Piper, Brittany Page and Lacy Von Erich (the daughters of Roddy Piper, Diamond Dallas Page, and Kerry Von Erich respectively) pitched to form a wrestling promotion on their own named Daughters of Wrestling in October 2016 but the plan never came to fruition. She has also worked on two country EPs in 2015 and 2018.
