Hulk Hogan: I was scared to call Vince

In a recent interview, WWE legend Hulk Hogan spoke about unnecessary surgeries he underwent that prevented his career ending match with John Cena.

During the shooting for Hogan Knows Best, Vince McMahon and Hogan started negotiating a 25 year deal, which would see Hogan returning for one-off matches with Shawn Michaels and Randy Orton.

But things did not go according to plan. The match with John Cena was part of deal that would see Hogan coming to the WWE, once in a while, to wrestle. As part of the 25 year deal, Hogan was supposed to wrestle John Cena in Orlando at WrestleMania.

After his first surgery, Hogan says he called Vince McMahon and told him that he was all set for the match. But just days before going on air, his back went bad again. I was scared to call Vince, but when I did, I was like, ‘Dude, my back has gone out again’ “

After a couple more surgeries, sources report that a battery was inserted in Hogans back. The battery was developed by NASA for the space shuttle, and is reportedly able to last forever.
