Identity of WWE Employee slapped by Alberto Del Rio revealed
Albert Del Rio was released from his WWE contract on Thursday after an altercation with a WWE social media member.
Ring of Honor founder and RF Video owner Rob Fienstein revealed that Albert Del Rio slapped a member of the social media team during a television taping this week.
The news has been confirmed by both F4WOnline and PWlnsider.
To add a new twist to the story, the member’s identity whom Albert slapped has been revealed.
In a discussion among Del Rio’s termination from WWE on F4WOnline.com message board, and thereby speculating which WWE employee would have been possibly slapped, it is heard that Wrestling Observer Editor Dave Meltzer hinted "Cody Barbierri."
According to a report, WWE’s social media manager was apparently asked to wipe his plate clear to which he amusingly joked that it was Del Rio’s job to clean the plate, which was seen as a racist comment to Hispanic people. When Del Rio came to know about this comment he confronted the member and asked him to apologize which the latter refused to do, inevitably leading to a fuming Del Rio slapping the social media manager.
Del Rio will have to face a 90-day, no compete clause, which would mean he can’t wrestle and join TNA or AAA immediately, with apparently both the companies are reported to be keen to sign him.
