Impact Wrestling News: Complete Bound For Glory 2017 card
What's the story?
Impact Wrestling's next PPV offering, Bound for Glory (BFG) is shaping up to be a really solid show as the current match card features some exciting matches.
The PPV is set to go on floors in Ottawa, Canada on November 5th.
In case you didn't know...
Impact Wrestling recently underwent another major change when Jeff Jarrett's Global Force Wrestling (GFW) announced their split.
This came after the two promotions had joined forces with GFW effectively taking over Impact with the re-branding of the show and every championship belt.
But in a nasty turn of events, Jeff Jarrett reportedly go admitted to a WWE-sponsored rehab for alcohol addiction after he was found wasted at an Indie show.
Impact, though, will go ahead with their plans for BFG.
The heart of the matter
The current match card will feature every title being defended along with a host of other storylines culminating in matches.
Impact Wrestling World Champion Eli Drake will defend the title against former WWE Superstar Johnny Impact (Morrison in WWE) in the main event.
The women's title will be defended in a triple threat match as the champion Sienna will put the strap on the line against Allie and the legendary Gail Kim. This will be the TNA Hall of Famer's final pro wrestling match.
UFC Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar will be making his Impact Wrestling debut in a tag team match that promises to be a chaotic affair.
Below is the full match card as things stand:
EC3, Eddie Edwards, and James Storm (Team Impact) vs. El Hijo del Fantasma, Pagano, and Texano (Team AAA)
Rosemary vs. Taya Valkyrie (Red Wedding)
Abyss vs. Grado (Monster's Ball Match)
Moose and Stephan Bonnar vs. Lashley and King Mo (Six Sides Of Steel Tag Team Match)
Trevor Lee (c) vs. Dezmond Xavier vs. Matt Sydal vs. Petey Williams vs. Sonjay Dutt vs. Garza Jr. (Impact X Division Championship)
oVe (c) vs. LAX (Impact World Tag Team Championship (5150 Street Fight)
Sienna (c) vs. Allie vs. Gail Kim (Impact Knockouts Championship)
Eli Drake (c) vs. Johnny Impact (Impact Global Championship)
What's next?
Bound For Glory will take place on 5th November in the wake of a sticky situation backstage in the company. A solid show is what's expected despite the ensuing power struggle behind the scenes.
Author's take
While the card may not boast of many legends, it does include some really talented wrestlers. Personally, I expect Johnny Impact to dethrone Eli Drake as the new Impact Champion.
The company, however, may hold off the inevitable title win for a better occasion. Apart from the marquee match, the card looks stacked and the excitement is quite palpable.
