This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling reportedly got one of the lowest ratings in the company’s history.

Apparently, the episode only garnered 226,000 viewers; which is a considerable decrease from last week’s viewership of 255,000.

The promotion which has been around since 2002, has witnessed several ups and downs over the years. But it went through a particularly rough financial patch over the last few years.

This week’s episode of Impact Wrestling was headlined by a match-up featuring Johnny Impact (WWE’s John Morrison) & Petey Williams versus Global Champion Eli Drake & Chris Adonis. The episode received a viewership of 226,000, a downgrade from last week’s numbers of 255,000.

Author’s take

It’s a tad disheartening to see Impact Wrestling’s fall from grace. With the amount of talent gracing the six-sided ring, it shouldn’t be all that hard for them to draw desirable ratings. However, one has to admit that the story-lines and character arcs in the promotion do need a total revamp.
