Impact Wrestling Rumors: Matt Sydal joining Impact Wrestling
What’s the story?
According to Still Real To Us, former WWE Superstar Matt Sydal, who performed under the ring-name Evan Bourne in the WWE, is reportedly set to join Impact Wrestling in the days to come.
Sydal recently followed Impact Wrestling’s official social media handle on Twitter and may make his debut in the next couple of episodes of Impact Wrestling.
In case you didn’t know...
Matt Sydal performed for WWE as Evan Bourne from 2008-14, besides having previously participated in TNA/Impact Wrestling’s Victory Road ’04 event, and being primarily used a jobber in Impact Wrestling.
The heart of the matter:
The 34-year old Sydal has performed for Ring Of Honor (ROH), New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW), EVOLVE as well as several other independent promotions, ever since he was released from his WWE contract. The ex-WWE Superstar will be at a VIP Wrestling event on the 29th of this month-

Sydal has been trying his best to keep his alleged signing with Impact under wraps for the time being. Impact Wrestling, on its part has neither confirmed nor denied Sydal’s alleged signing.
What’s next?
The former WWE and ROH tag-team champion has been performing for ROH and is a regular on the indie circuit, and fans can expect the high-flyer to grace the Impact Zone very soon.
Author’s take:
Sydal aka Bourne was one of the WWE’s best high-flyers and although he’d been criticized by his detractors for an alleged lack of personality and charisma, I beg to differ.
Mark my words- Given a chance to display his skill-set in Impact Wrestling, Sydal could really get that breakthrough he’s been hunting for years, and can most definitely make an Impact (pun intended).
