Earlier today, Impact Wrestling announced on their official Twitter handle that former Knockouts Champion, Taryn Terrell, has been released from her current contract and has been released from the company.

Impact’s statement read that the two parties have mutually agreed to part ways, as Taryn will now look forward to pursuing other career options.

Taryn, who is also a former OVW Women’s Champion, made her return to Impact earlier this year at Impact’s Destination X event. She went on to attack Gail Kim that night and help Sienna retain her Knockouts Title.

The former Dollhouse stable member was immediately inserted into the title picture upon her return and was scheduled to face Sienna, Allie and Gail Kim for the Knockouts Title, in the upcoming Bound for Glory event in November.

However, earlier today, Impact also announced that she was being withdrawn from the match due to a supposed “concussion” but clearly the reason has been revealed now as to why Taryn was removed from the match at BFG.

Taryn Terrell herself remains the longest reigning Knockouts Champion in Impact Wrestling’s history. Her first and only title reign till date came way back in 2014 when she defeated Havok and Gail Kim to win the belt.

She then went on to hold the title for a total of 279 days before eventually losing it to Brooke in 2015.

It is interesting to see if Taryn pursues a completely different career or sticks to the wrestling business and starts performing in the indy scene. However, it is really shocking to see her being released so quickly just after making her return to the company two months back.
