Independent Wrestling News: Ken Anderson talks about Paul Heyman helping him

Mr
Mr Kennedy

What's the story?

Ken Anderson, who was previously known as Mr Kennedy during his stint with the WWE, recently sat down for a podcast with Stone Cold and talked about various topics such as his time in WWE, TNA and how Paul Heyman has helped him in his career.

In case you didn't know...

Ken made his debut for WWE in 2005 under the name Mr Kennedy. With a flashy entrance and popular catchphrase, Ken was looked upon as a future megastar.

Anderson was a part of the WWE from 2005 to 2009 and was released from the company allegedly due to Randy Orton and John Cena complaining to Vince McMahon about his in-ring performances.

Ken was a former US Champion and MITB winner during his tenure with the company.

He later joined TNA, where he worked from 2010-2016, capturing the TNA World Championship once. He is currently a part of Ring Of Honor.

The heart of the matter

Ken Anderson, who is good friends with Paul Heyman talked about how he helped him during his career, not only in WWE but also outside of it.

Here is an excerpt from his podcast interview: (H/T Wrestlinginc)
“The interesting thing was Vince Russo and whoever else was writing at the time, would hand me a script and a lot of the times, I would call Paul Heyman,” Anderson said. “I was really good friends with Paul and I would say, ‘here’s what they got for me, here’s what I’m thinking, what do you think?’ and a lot of times, he would really help me out and come up with a better way to say everything and do it, so Paul actually wrote a lot of my stuff at TNA when I first started.”

Paul Heyman has been known to help his friends and with someone of his expertise, it is no surprise that a lot of the superstars look for his advice on various matters.

What's next?

Ken's last appearance for ROH was when he challenged Marty Scrull for the TV Title in April this year; so it is possible that he will be making a return to ROH soon.

Ken Anderson is also a regular on Tommy Dreamer's House Of Hardcore promotion.
