The 43-year-old Mysterio has been away from WWE for almost three years now. In the meantime, he has been an active performer in the independent circuit and appeared in Lucha Underground as well.
As for Maxted, he has been into professional wrestling for a few years now and had faced Drew McIntyre in the past.
He also had a tryout with WWE in May and is widely known for his appearance in the reality show, Love Island.

Mysterio will be in action in the United Kingdom this March as he faces Adam Maxted at the 5 Star Wrestling Event as mentioned above. In a recent interview, Maxted revealed that he is excited about the match and added that it is his dream to be in the WWE one day.
What’s next?
Apart from his appearance against Maxted, Mysterio is also advertised for a few other wrestling events organized by 5 Star Wrestling.

Author’s take
Pairing up a former Reality television star in his hometown against a legendary name like Rey Mysterio is some brilliant booking from the promotion.
Hopefully, they are going to benefit from the exposure and the popularity that these two have. The news, meanwhile, confirms that Mysterio might not make his much-awaited return to WWE in the first half of 2018.
