Indie news: Ricochet's latest tweet hints at his next move

The big qaues
The big question is where will Ricochet land next...

What's the story?

Shortly after the finale of the third season of Lucha Underground on Wednesday night, Ricochet posted on Twitter that the clock starts now with a winky face emoji. Take a look at his tweet below:

In case you didn't know...

Even though Ricochet is only 29 years old, he has wrestled professionally since 2003. He started to make a mark in the indies through Chikara in 2008 along with competing for promotions such as Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Dragon Gate USA, and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

The heart of the matter...

At Ultima Lucha Tres that aired this week, the Gift Of The Gods Champion, Pentagon Dark, challenged the champion Prince Puma (Ricochet). Dario Cueto stated that the loser of this match would be forced to retire.

Though this final episode of season three for Lucha Underground aired tonight, it was actually filmed on June 18, 2016. Ricochet's contract expired with Lucha Underground at that point, but he couldn't appear on television for another promotion until the entire season aired.

That prompted the tweet from Ricochet on Wednesday, and now the speculation begins as to where he will end up. Many believe he will sign with the WWE and join NXT.

What's next?

Stay tuned to Sportskeeda for further updates on what is next in line for Ricochet. He is now officially a free agent and can choose anywhere he wishes now that the season has concluded for Lucha Underground.

Author's take...

Though I want Ricochet to go wherever he believes is best for him, the selfish part of me wants him to go to NXT. Can you imagine the matches he will have against the likes of Aleister Black, Adam Cole, Lio Rush, and Johnny Gargano?

Whoever lands Ricochet will instantly boost their roster.
