Indy wrestler on DeMott's departure, Punk appearing alongside fighter
- Independent wrestler Osmund Cherry had some choice words for Bill DeMott after he announced he was stepping down as WWE’s head trainer:

Cherry worked in developmental as Malik Omari in 2012 and 2013, and it’s claimed DeMott used racial slurs against him, including telling him to “go back to Africa.”
- At UFC 185 next weekend former WWE star CM Punk will be in UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis’ corner, for his title defense against Rafael dos Anjos. Punk is currently training with Pettis at Roufusport in Milwaukee.
- Former WWE star Manu (Afa Anoa’i Jr.) is launching his own wrestling promotion called Battlefield Pro Wrestling in the coming months. He previously teamed with Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase in WWE, and is a member of the same family as the Usos, Roman Reigns, and the rest of the Samoan greats.
