Injured star, current champion - 4 WWE stars who can interfere in the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder Match
Money in the Bank 2024 is less than 24 hours away. As the last major stop in the build-up to SummerSlam, the premium live event will surely be an entertaining show with significant implications for the summer season.
Although the card is loaded and stacked, the Men's MITB Ladder match seems most unpredictable and has received considerable attention. Jey Uso, LA Knight, Chad Gable, Carmelo Hayes, Andrade, and Drew McIntyre will battle for the coveted contract.
Most competitors are involved in ongoing angles and storylines, drastically increasing the likelihood of outside involvement in the six-man ladder match.
Let's look at four WWE stars who could interfere in the Men's Money in the Bank ladder match.
#4. United States Champion Logan Paul could cost LA Knight the MITB contract
The Logan Paul-LA Knight is one of the several brewing angles on SmackDown, with all signs pointing towards a US Title match at SummerSlam. The Maverick has vehemently denied The Megastar's requests for a championship shot, but he could give Knight more reason to pursue him at MITB.
The Megastar defeated Santos Escobar and Logan Paul to enter the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match. The loss would have hurt Paul's ego, and The Maverick, not one to take the slight easily, could ruin Knight's plans of becoming a world champion.
Having cleared out the ring in the MITB match, Knight could be on the cusp of winning the contract. Unfortunately, Paul would appear out of nowhere, dump his rival to the mat, and knock him out with the brass knuckles.
Following the interference, Logan Paul vs. LA Knight will be heavily teased and confirmed for SummerSlam.
#3. CM Punk will not let Drew McIntyre become Mr. Money in the Bank
The CM Punk-Drew McIntyre has been a rollercoaster ride. The RAW stars have tried to one-up each other. Punk interfered during McIntyre's World Heavyweight Championship match against Damian Priest at Clash at the Castle, causing The Scottish Warrior an embarrassing loss in his hometown.
McIntyre would repay the favor with a brutal assault on The Second City Saint in Chicago. Since the brutal off-screen assault, Punk has not been seen on television. However, fans can expect the veteran to ruin Drew's momentum again.
The Scottish Warrior has inserted himself into the Men's Money in the Bank Ladder match, and few would bet against him. Unfortunately, McIntyre may have mistakenly believed that Punk was in the rear-view mirror.
The Straight-Edge Superstar could return during the Men's Ladder match to ruin McIntyre's night again. Assuming that he has completely healed, Punk vs. Drew would be on the cards for SummerSlam upon the interference.
#2. Uncle Howdy brutalizes Chad Gable during the Men's MITB ladder match
The Wyatt Sicks made a terrifying debut on the June 17 episode of RAW, flanked by the sadistic Uncle Howdy, who is more vicious than ever. Although an official motive has not been declared, Howdy and his comrades have shown keen interest in Chad Gable.
During his re-emergence, Gable was spotted in a pool of blood, presumably from the group's damages. In the following weeks, the Wyatt Sicks played mind games on the former Olympian, terrorizing him with their theatrical antics.
WWE is building towards something with the Howdy-Gable angle. Fans could have a clearer idea of Triple H's plans once the mysterious figure costs the former leader of The Alpha Academy the Money in the Bank contract.
The beauty of Howdy's gimmick is that he doesn't need to be physically present to exert an impact. The lights could go out, and Gable could mysteriously disappear from atop the ladder, or smoke could fill the arena, forcing the RAW star to flee.
#1. Solo Sikoa costs Jey Uso the Men's Money in the Bank contract
Calling the shots in the absence of Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman, Solo Sikoa has recruited dangerous members of The Anoa'i Family, forming The Bloodline 2.0.
Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, Tama Tonga, and Tonga Loa have stormed the SmackDown locker room. The Bloodline will face Cody Rhodes, Randy Orton, and KO at Money in the Bank. However, they may choose to invade the Men's MITB ladder match.
Acting under the orders of the new Tribal Chief, they could attack Jey Uso and remove him from the equation. WWE is building towards a Bloodline Civil War, which will be officially set in motion upon Roman Reigns' return.
Triple H could drop a major tease with Sikoa ordering an assault on his brother, Jey, which would take us closer to the eventual war.
