Injury updates on Stardust & King Barrett
It was Ric Flair who revealed on his podcast about WWE star Stardust getting hurt during his match against Jack Swagger during the December 7th WWE RAW. The injury was reported to be a neck injury, and we had covered it last week.
However, as per the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports, Stardust was cleared to return at the start of this week, but wasn’t seen either on RAW or Super SmackDown this week.
Another name associated with the injury bug has been that of King Barrett, who we reported, has been healing up from some neck issues. While, he has been appearing with the ‘League of Nations’ faction in a limited role, the injury is said to be quite serious.
Barrett last worked the 16-man elimination match on the December 7th RAW and then the 16-man match at the Tribute to The Troops tapings on December 8th. Understandably, he wasn’t involved in the DQ attack on Lesnar during Lesnar’s match against fellow LON member Alberto Del Rio.
Brock took both Rusev, who interfered, and Alberto Del Rio to ‘Suplex city’ with repeated german suplexes on the duo. With Barrett’s fragile neck and a possible future payday with Sheamus, both were kept away from ‘The Beast’.
