Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens supports a WWE brand split

Kevin Owens likes things a little chaos

In a recent interview with Mundo Deportivo and Planeta Wrestling, WWE Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens revealed that he had his own vision of what the company should be, one which would add more excitement to the franchise, reports allwrestlingnews.com.

When the question about a potential brand split with the WWE popped up and whether he’d be up for it, Owens said: “Yeah, I think so. I think it would shake things up a bit and make for some very interesting situations and interesting match-ups that would create a different feel.

"That is not to say that eventually if the brand split were to happen, a couple of years down the line, mixing the rosters back up together would be interesting as well. I like when things get shaken up, I like when unexpected things happen. I feel like a brand split would be a bit of a chaotic situation, but I like chaos. I find chaos interesting and exciting.”

Owens may not be the only wrestler who’s supporting a brand split, with rumours of a potential shift in the landscape doing the rounds backstage.

The appearance of Shane McMahon could put a possible split into motion, with the younger McMahon eager to take control of RAW and could launch a rival brand within the company, much like how RAW and SmackDown were in the early half of the decade.
