Intercontinental title match at WrestleMania 29 announced

Earlier today, WWE announced that Wade Barrett will face The Miz in a singles match for the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 29 at the MetLife Stadium on April 7, 2013. The Miz was chosen as the challenger for Wade Barrett’s title after his non-title match win on this week’s RAW. With the addition of this match, the total number of matches at this year’s WrestleMania moves up to 9.

Wade Barrett will put his Intercontinental Championship on the line against The Miz at Wrestlemania 29

Wade Barrett and The Miz had locked horns last week in a triple threat match for the Intercontinental Championship, along with Chris Jericho. Just as the Miz was closing in on a victory after hitting the Skull-crushing-finale, Barrett stole his thunder and won the match. The animosity between the two increased further during last week’s Main Event show and Friday Night SmackDown, with both men having stare-downs at ringside. It has culminated in this showdown at the grandest stage of the all – WrestleMania 29.

Will the ‘Barrett Barrage’ continue, or will it be crushed by the ‘Skull crushing finale’ of The Miz? WrestleMania 29 has thus become more awesome.
