Is Logan Paul retiring from WWE for a major match in India? Exploring the possibility
A while back, Logan Paul made waves when he claimed he had "retired" from wrestling. The Maverick stated on his IMPAULSIVE podcast that he had chosen to retire now that he is a father. Considering it came straight from the horse's mouth, many are wondering if it's true. But could there be another reason for his supposed retirement? Is Logan slated to have a major match in India in the coming months?
First things first, is Logan Paul retiring from WWE? The answer is a straightforward 'No!' The 29-year-old recently signed a multi-year contract with the company and is unlikely to renege on the deal. But regarding a major match in India in the future, a recent social media post suggests it is a huge possibility. After all, the post comes from The Notorious, Conor McGregor.
The former UFC Champion recently took to X to make a major announcement that shocked everyone. Conor claimed that he has been in talks with the Ambani family in India and has reached a preliminary agreement to have a boxing exhibition match with none other than Logan Paul. And considering it came from his official account, there might be some truth to the post.
"The rumors of a bout with Topuria are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon," McGregor wrote.
There is no denying that Paul vs. McGregor in a boxing exhibition match is a huge deal. But that doesn't mean he will retire from WWE to do it. After all, the former United States Champion was still under contract when he fought Dillon Danis a few years ago. That being said, this is nothing more than speculation at this point.
Logan Paul was recently met with heavy criticism from a former rival
The Maverick has only been a professional wrestler for three years, and in that time, he has accomplished a great deal. Not only is he a former WWE United States Champion, but he has also been involved in major PLEs like the Royal Rumble, the Elimination Chamber, and WrestleMania. But it is exactly this that has led to Logan Paul's criticism from one of his former rivals. The rival in question is one who himself is under the microscope right now, Kevin Owens.
The Prizefighter feuded with Paul for the US Title earlier this year but failed to win it. Recently, in an interview with Mail Sport, he critiqued Logan, claiming the YouTuber was out of touch with reality. Why? Because KO believes, the social media sensation doesn't appreciate the opportunities that lesser privileged wrestlers work their entire careers for.
Paul has had a smoother transition to the top than most wrestlers. And given how competitive the business is, it makes sense why some stars feel he hasn't earned it. But at this point, fans are probably just waiting for his return.
