Is Randy Orton leaving WWE? What we know following Bash in Berlin

Bash in Berlin ended in epic fashion, as Gunther prevailed over Randy Orton. Despite the emotional turmoil between the two, it was a straightforward and hard-fought match. No interferences, no sly maneuvers, no cheating, just two men giving it their all in the squared circle. The two even shared a handshake following the conclusion. But, that very handshake raises the question, is The Viper leaving WWE?

The answer to that question is a blunt "No". While a handshake, especially between two superstars who have established themselves as heated rivals over the last few weeks is suspicious, Randy Orton is going nowhere. Yes, at the age of 44, Orton isn't the spring chicken he used to be, but he still has a lot left in the tank.

This very fact is evident in WWE's decision to hand Randy Orton a new five-year contract earlier this year. A contract mind you, that Orton likely has every intention to see through. The handshake was nothing more than a sign of respect, because even Gunther knows, that the Legend Killer pushed a self-proclaimed legend like himself to the limit.

As far as we can tell, Orton will be with the Stamford-based promotion till 2029. Who knows? He might just earn himself another extension in the coming years. But, at this point, there is no telling what the future holds, all we can do, is be grateful for the epic journey to come.

Randy Orton already knows who he wants inducting him into the Hall of Fame

Speaking of retirement, while Randy Orton's might be a while away, he already has an idea about how he wants to go out. Although he's not sure about an opponent, he does know who he wants inducting him into the Hall of Fame, when that honor is without a doubt afforded to him. And, what makes it special, is that it happens to be one of his greatest-ever rivals.

If you haven't guessed it already, that rival is none other than John Cena. Speaking on Cody Rhodes' podcast What Do You Wanna Talk About?, Orton was asked about his potential and inevitable WWE Hall of Fame induction. And, while he is not sure when it will come, he is certain that he wants the Leader of the Cenation to induct him, because he knows that the latter will "do right by him".

John Cena himself will be embarking on his retirement tour in 2025. Given their history, it's safe to say that Orton will find a way to get involved. Such is the bond they share, as rivals, colleagues, and friends.
