Is Roman Reigns involved in another major non-WWE collaboration? Analyzing what we know so far
Roman Reigns continues to be a trendsetter and one of WWE's most valuable superstars. He has looked the part in the ring for several years, leading to lucrative partnerships with major companies such as Nike.
There have been some murmurs between fans on social media of the 38-year-old securing his own Jordans collection. This doesn't appear true as neither The Head of the Table nor Nike has given any confirmation on the subject.
Roman Reigns collaborated with Nike at WrestleMania XL where he donned custom high-top boots with the Jumpman logo printed on them. He also shared a video before The Show of Shows showcasing custom Jordan Stadium 90 and Air Jordan 3 'Ivory' designs, with The Bloodline's logo and 'Air Reigns' text.
The former WWE Universal Champion announced the deal with the footwear corporation in an Instagram post where he referenced greatness.
"Greatness reigns. Bloodline - Jump Man forever baby," wrote Roman Reigns.
Reigns isn't the first superstar to link up with manufacturers like Nike. The likes of Kofi Kingston, Liv Morgan, and Becky Lynch have all had custom-made sneakers and boots made for them.
The Bloodline leader wore several different Nike sneakers during his historic Undisputed WWE Universal Championship reign. He wore Jordan Boxer SP boots in his 'Mania tag team match with The Rock against Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins.
WWE Hall of Famer D-Von Dudley hails Roman Reigns for 'carrying the company'
Roman Reigns has been absent from TV since losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WrestleMania XL. Cody Rhodes ended Reigns' historic 1,316-day reign in the main event at Lincoln Financial Field on WrestleMania Sunday.
The Tribal Chief was the face of the company after returning at Summerslam 2020. His reign included many memorable moments such as Sami Zayn turning on him and his somewhat shocking win against Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 39.
D-Von Dudley thinks the Big Dog is in the same league as several icons such as The Rock and Stone Cold, among other all-time greats.
"I rank him in the same rank as Stone Cold Steve Austin, as The Rock, as Bret Hart, Hulk Hogan, Bruno Sammartino. He carried the company when others couldn’t and he did it for a long period of time," he said. [H/T 411MANIA].
Reigns has been a commercial success for the Stamford-based promotion with viewership and attendance numbers rising during his title reign. Fans are already pining for his return as his name has been chanted during every Bloodline segment on SmackDown since he has been away on a hiatus.
