Is Triple H going the Vince McMahon route with current champion in WWE? Exploring the situation

The current period of WWE is recognized as the 'Triple H era' due to his creative control and booking on the main roster. The Game has had a different approach to Vince McMahon in how he books superstars and storylines. However, a current champion is seemingly undergoing the same path as in the McMahon era—a situation where few superstars go through consecutive PLEs without title defenses.

The name in question is current Women's World Champion Liv Morgan. Money in the Bank will mark the second consecutive Premium Live Event that she won't be defending her title since winning it. The 30-year-old star wasn't on the card for Clash at the Castle 2024 in June either. As a result, this led to fans discussing her booking under Triple H's regime.

This calls back to the Vince McMahon era, where often champions would not defend their titles at PLEs. The biggest example is Brock Lesnar's reign, during which the title was barely defended. It is fair for there to be apprehension that the WWE CCO Triple H is going the same route, with Liv Morgan having fewer title defenses.

However, this could also be an exaggeration, as Triple H is well aware of what he is doing and has been proven to have a plan and reasoning for his booking. Liv Morgan's lesser defenses could be justified by the fact that she has been heavily involved in The Judgment Day's storyline lately. Therefore, Triple H seemingly wants to keep the spotlight on the ongoing storyline.

Morgan recently defended her championship on RAW against Zelina Vega, which was yet another way of accentuating her storyline with The Judgment Day. Therefore, WWE is keeping Morgan's current storyline with Dominik Mysterio and the faction at the forefront.

Triple H may be setting up Liv Morgan to be the homewrecker for The Judgment Day

The cracks within The Judgment Day are quite visible and have developed even further due to Liv Morgan's antics. The involvement of Morgan in the heel faction's business is creating tension between them and heating up the conflict in the group. There is a huge chance that her involvement could lead to the faction's implosion.

WWE CCO Triple H could be setting up Liv Morgan to be the homewrecker for The Judgment Day's family. The current Women's World Champion has seemingly already turned Finn Balor and JD McDonagh to her side, as was visible last week on Monday Night RAW.

Damian Priest is currently acting as the leader of The Judgment Day in Rhea Ripley's absence. However, tensions have started brewing between him and Balor, and we may even see the latter eventually cost Priest his title. It could only be a matter of time before Morgan and Balor reveal the potential conspiracy that they might be hatching.

Liv Morgan's presence is the spark that could ignite the fuse, setting off a chain reaction of events that will seemingly lead to the implosion of The Judgment Day. She could end her 'revenge tour' by breaking the heel faction apart or capturing it and becoming its new leader.
