Is WWE SmackDown tonight live or taped?

We are now just hours away from SmackDown, where we have a lot to catch up on from the Bloodline saga, the build-up to Crown Jewel 2024, the Cody Rhodes-Kevin Owens storyline, and much more. However, some fans are wondering if tonight's episode of SmackDown is pre-filmed, just like the October 14 episode of Monday Night RAW.

The answer is no. WWE's Europe tour has come to an end and the superstars are back in the USA. Tonight's episode of SmackDown will take place live from the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, South Carolina.

Monday Night RAW was pre-recorded for this week, as the Stamford-based promotion was on a four-day United Kingdom tour that started on October 13 and ended on October 16. As a result, the show was recorded in advance right after the October 7 edition of RAW.

What will fans see on WWE SmackDown tonight?

Tonight’s episode of SmackDown is a must-see edition, as fans will witness yet another match in Carmelo Hayes and Andrade’s competitive and engaging series; this will be the seventh bout between these two, and the winner will be awarded a United States Championship opportunity against LA Knight.

The Motor City Machine Guns are expected to debut on SmackDown and are likely to be revealed as the mystery opponents of Humberto and Angel Garza. Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso are set to appear, and the Bloodline saga will continue.

Randy Orton will appear following a vicious attack by Kevin Owens last week, and the build to Crown Jewel 2024 will also continue. Nia Jax and Tiffany Stratton will likely be on the show. And after Cody's appearance on RAW this past week, Gunther could make a surprise appearance on SmackDown to confront the Undisputed WWE Champion as well. However, the Ring General's appearance has not been confirmed in any capacity.
