‘The Cowboy’ James Storm on NXT

– WWE’s latest acquisition James Storm has been an all round performer. Storm is praised by all, has a great persona and amazing promo skills.

James Storm made his debut on NXT against Danny Burch and won the match by planting Burch with his finisher ‘8-second ride’. The former TNA Heavyweight Champion opened up to the WWE website after making his debut on NXT and spoke about signing with WWE, his spot on NXT and a probable involvement in the main roster.

On signing with WWE

Storm revealed that he has been good friends with Billy Gunn and Road Dogg. He had asked them to put in a word with Triple H. He was also present at the NXT show in Nashville.

He said that he spoke with the WWE Performance Center head coach Matt Bloom and also had a meeting with Triple H during NXT Takeover Respect. When Triple H asked him about making an appearance, he promptly agreed to it.

"I went down and talked to Triple Hat the NXT TakeOver: Respect special. Then the next night, he asked if I was willing to appear, and I said yes," said Storm.

On the NXT locker room

Storm said that he had no clue about what to expect from the locker room. He had this notion that the younger stars might think that Storm was here to take their spot but was surprised when he came to know how much he was liked by the locker room.

"All of them came up to me; a couple of them made me feel kinda old, like, “Hey, I used to watch you 10 years ago.” [Laughs.] But nobody said a negative word or gave me a dirty look, or anything like that. Everybody was super cool and actually welcoming me in with open arms," said ‘Cowboy’.

On his next appearance

There has been a lot of speculation about Storm making his next appearance and the big question on everyone's mind is whether he will ply his trade in the WWE. He responded by saying that it is his job to perform well and get over with the fans.

He says that the final decision rests with the corporate staff and that he would do everything in his power to make it work out.

"That’s the million-dollar question. That’s not really up to me. My job is to go out and get myself over, as they say. And it’s up to what we call “the suits” to make the decision of whether to bring me back to NXT or the WWE main roster."

– The Rock made an appearance on Oprah’s Masterclass which an interview-based series. The Rock revealed an incident from his past where his mother tried to commit suicide due to their poverty. The Rock getting extremely emotional posted a video on Instagram about this whole issue and his appearance on the series.
