WWE News: Jeff Hardy and Samoa Joe feature in huge title matches at Saudi Arabia event
What's the story?
Samoa Joe and Jeff Hardy are currently out injured (although expected to return before or around WrestleMania) but despite being absent as of late they've both been booked in huge title matches for WWE's 'Greatest Royal Rumble' event at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Friday, April 27, at 7 p.m. AST.
In case you didn't know...
WWE are set to present a huge show in Saudi Arabia including the titular 'Greatest Royal Rumble' which will feature over fifty wrestlers competing in what will be the biggest Royal Rumble Match ever. The event will also feature a whopping seven title matches with the WWE rumoured to be pulling out all the stops.
The heart of the matter
The WWE released a press release with the focus being on the marquee match between John Cena and Triple H but within the press release was a few more match announcements involving the Intercontinental and RAW Tag-Team Titles.
Additionally, the Greatest Royal Rumble event will feature an Intercontinental Championship Ladder Match: Seth Rollins vs. Finn Bálor vs. The Miz vs. Samoa Joe, and a Raw Tag Team Championship Match: The Hardy Boyz vs. Sheamus & Cesaro
As you can see a lot of RAW's top talent are set to do battle over the Intercontinental Championship in a ladder match with the current 'Mania title match competitors vying for the title with the welcome addition of a returning Samoa Joe.
Jeff Hardy is also slated to reunite with his brother 'Woken' Matt Hardy to take on The BAR in a RAW Tag-Team Championship Match.
What's next?
Whilst this press release could possibly give away the results of the matches at WrestleMania, or at least the tag-team match suggesting that The BAR defeat Braun Strowman and his partner, it's worth noting, that as always, the card is subject to change and it is common practice for WWE to advertise matches for events and then change them according to results in the future.
Author's take
The 'Greatest Royal Rumble' show is slowly building itself up as having a superb card and might actually live up to its name.
