Jeff Hardy talks about his future, injuries and his opinion about TNA

– Jeff Hardy has been plying his trade in TNA since leaving WWE. Hardy has been known to perform dangerous, high-risk spots. Jeff Hardy built a reputation by performing acts of intense risk which includes jumping off high places, tables, chairs among with other things.

Hardy has struggled with injury due to these high-risk maneuvers and is currently out due to an injury. Jeff Hardy spoke with The Daily Star while promoting TNA's tour of the United Kingdom. He spoke about injuries, the state of TNA and his future. For the full interview click here.

On TNA not being successful

Hardy said that he fails to understand why TNA is not successful. He said that it is frustrating that in spite of having so many great wrestlers such as Drew Galloway, EC3, TNA can't replicate the standard set by the WWE.

He called EC3 the ‘top dog’ in the business but is baffled by the fact that why TNA hasn't taken off already.

On his current injury and return

Jeff Hardy suffered a leg break where he broke his tibia. He said that his tibia had to be operated to insert a rod into it. As soon as the swelling receded, Hardy said that he felt something unusual in his knee. MRI scans confirmed that Hardy had broken his Posterior Cruciate Ligament. He spoke about starting therapy, and continuing his hard work so that he can make a 100% comeback. He said.

"I finally went to the doctor, and I had an MRI, and found out it was a torn PCL. I just started physical therapy last week, it’s been really tough. Hopefully, that is going to work and I can avoid surgery. Fingers crossed.”

On his focus in life

Jeff Hardy spoke very candidly about missing wrestling since his injury. He stated that this was his first serious injury and now that he is out for a significant period of time, he knows what it is to miss wrestling.

Hardy said that his knee feels unstable and overall feels weak. He revealed that he does not know the exact date that he would be back in the ring but is working extremely hard towards it. He says he knows what it's like to sit on the sidelines and watch people wrestle, as lot of his friends have suffered injuries. He said that his aim was to just get better and continue helping TNA improve.

“This is very new for me. I realize how much I love wrestling now, because I miss it so bad. I know what it’s like because I’ve had so many friends who have dealt with surgical issues and have been out for long periods of time. Now I’m in that boat, I just want to get better, and continue to help TNA improve.”
