Jey Uso to make surprise appearance at SNME, leave Monday Night RAW for good? - 4 ways The YEET Master can return to WWE
WWE Monday Night RAW last week featured the surprise return of Drew McIntyre. The Scottish Psychopath appeared for the first time since Bad Blood and hit Sami Zayn with The Claymore in the middle of the ring. That wasn't the only attack to take place on the red brand last week, however. Main Event Jey Uso was found hurt backstage and it wasn't immediately obvious who was responsible for the heinous assault.
On Monday Night RAW this week, commentary noted that Jey wasn't medically cleared to appear on the red brand's latest program. They also couldn't provide an update as to when he'll be back, but it will hopefully be sooner rather than later.
This article will take a look at several things Main Event Jey Uso could do upon his return. Some of these options operate under the assumption he will be back immediately, while others look down the line several weeks and even a few months into the future.
Below are four ways Jey Uso can return to WWE.
#4. He could cost Drew McIntyre a win at Saturday Night's Main Event
WWE Saturday Night's Main Event is back! The quarterly special was a big hit in the 1980s and early 1990s and also had a brief revival in the 2000s. Now, the series will return with the first edition taking place this Saturday.
The most recent match announced for the big television event features Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn. This comes after the aforementioned attack by Drew upon returning to WWE television where he laid out Sami with a Claymore. They proceeded to scrap during this week's program.
Jey Uso could make his return at Saturday Night's Main Event by costing Drew the win. Given that he has had issues with McIntyre off and on for years and Jey is close with Sami, it would make sense for the former SummerSlam main eventer to get involved.
#3. Jey Uso could return in the 2025 Men's Royal Rumble Match
While Saturday Night's Main Event is WWE's next big show, the promotion's next Premium Live Event isn't until February. The Sports Entertainment juggernaut will host the 2025 Royal Rumble on Saturday, February 1st.
So far, only two matches have been announced for the WWE show. These are the Women's Royal Rumble Match and the Men's Royal Rumble Match. Neither bout has any entrants yet, however, given that it is nearly two months away still.
Jey Uso could remain out of action until the big show and return as a surprise in the 30-Man Men's Royal Rumble Match. Given how talented he is, there is reason to believe that Jey could enter and win the match before co-headlining WrestleMania in April.
#2. He could challenge Drew McIntyre to a match at WWE RAW's Netflix premiere
As noted, Drew McIntyre returned on WWE RAW last week and he assaulted Sami Zayn with a Claymore in the center of the ring. That wasn't his only attack on that week's episode of the red brand, however.
Jey Uso was also found hurt backstage. Instead of it being clearly Drew, however, there was some mystery to it. Producers, Adam Pearce, and others found the WWE star hurt, but the culprit wasn't seen. This week, however, Drew took credit for the vicious attack, clearing up any mystery as to whom was responsible.
Now that the attacker has been revealed, Jey Uso could return to television in time to challenge The Scottish Psychopath to a match on the January 6th edition of Monday Night RAW. This is the Netflix debut and it will be a massive show, so adding the bout to the lineup makes a lot of sense.
#1. Jey could move to SmackDown as part of the transfer window
WWE made a big announcement on Friday Night SmackDown this week. Ahead of RAW's big move to Netflix, there will be a new transfer window, which will include Adam Pearce's Monday Night RAW, Nick Aldis' SmackDown, and Ava's NXT.
The concept is quite simple, as WWE wants to freshen up the rosters and prepare talent ahead of the move, especially given that RAW and SmackDown are seemingly set to move to three hours. Major moves are bound to be made.
Jey Uso could be one of the biggest moves. Despite being a huge star, Adam Pearce could give him up to Friday Night SmackDown. This would get Jey closer to Roman Reigns and The O.G. Bloodline while also keeping him away from Drew McIntyre moving forward.
