WWE News: Jim Ross talks about Alberto Del Rio's departure and more

Jim Ross revealed that Tommy Dreamer will appear on his Podcast next week

In his recent blog post, Former WWE Commentator Jim Ross revealed his thoughts on some of the recent trending topics including Alberto Del Rio's second WWE departure, John Cena's reduced wrestling schedule and more. Below are some of the highlights from his latest post:

On the topic of John Cena who is currently away from WWE to shoot the second season of his TV reality show, JR wrote that his absence from the company is a good thing as it pushes WWE Officials to explore their roster to find the replacement of their current face:

"John Cena's outside the WWE interests as a good thing for all involved as it allows the talented Cena to explore other viable career options but more importantly it motivates WWE to continue to strive to see who on their roster can get over to the next level that includes selling more live event tickets, merchandise and can move the needle as it relates to TV ratings."

Offering his thoughts on the much-talked departure of Alberto Del Rio from WWE following his wellness policy suspension, Ross gave his best wishes to the former World Champion and said that he seemingly had not found what he was looking for:

"Wishing Alberto Del Rio the best of luck upon ADR leaving WWE for the second time by my count. Talented guy without question who has seemingly not found what he's looking for in a promotion and at some point one has consider reevaluating one's priorities and game plan. Perhaps I'm wrong but there seems to be an abnormal amount of controversy surrounding this talent who still has plenty to offer a pro wrestling company if the table is set correctly for all involved."

He also talked about the upcoming UFC debut of the former WWE Champion Cm Punk and talked about how many fans believe that Punk will be defeat in his first official bout inside the octagon:

“Even though many feel that Punk has zero chance of winning his first ever pro fight in the Octagon, I maintain that Punk will be prepared, focused and ready to fight and the fact that four-ounce gloves are great equalizers so that any thing can happen. One can assume that most die hard UFC fans are motivated to see Punk go down...early and decisively...but knowing Punk's dogged mental attitude I can't automatically count him out. Punk is being featured prominently in the promotion of the event and his presence will help sell PPV's, without question.”

Along with this Jim Ross also talked about his Podcast and more.
