Jimmy Uso's immediate status revealed, 2-time Universal Champion set for heel turn - 3 WWE rumors you need to know before SummerSlam this year

The Bloodline saga has once again become the front and center of the storyline in WWE heading into the 37th edition of SummerSlam in Cleveland this year. Solo Sikoa seized the opportunity in Roman Reigns' absence and revamped The Bloodline by recruiting Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa, and Jacob Fatu.

With Jimmy Uso and Paul Heyman out of the picture, Jey Uso continues to steer clear of The Bloodline. Currently, Solo Sikoa has set his sights on winning the Undisputed WWE Championship, a title previously held by The Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.

The rumor mill has lately gone into overdrive about the status of Roman Reigns and Jimmy Uso. On the RAW side of things, a former Universal Champion is poised for a heel turn. With that said, here are the three rumors you need to know before The Biggest Party of the Summer.

#3. Roman Reigns is expected to be back by SummerSlam

With the recent passing of his father, Sika Anoa'i, there were some rumblings about WWE pushing back Roman Reigns' return. But that no longer seems to be the case.

PWInsider reported that The Head of the Table will likely return around SummerSlam. As of this writing, there's no word on whether he will wrestle at the marquee show.

On SmackDown last night, Cody Rhodes all but confirmed his upcoming title defense against Solo Sikoa at SummerSlam. The Enforcer has promised that The Tribal Chief would acknowledge him on his return. As things stand, it wouldn't be far-fetched to say that the two men will likely come face-to-face at The Biggest Party of the Summer.

#2. Update on Jimmy Uso's WWE status

Jimmy Uso was written off television on SmackDown after WrestleMania XL, thanks to Solo Sikoa and a debuting Tama Tonga. One-half of The Usos was said to be dealing with an undisclosed injury. His father, Rikishi, even asked the WWE Universe to pray for his son.

The nature of the injury wasn't made to the public but it looks like Jimmy Uso has fully recovered. Xero News learned that the former Bloodline member has been medically cleared and could return to WWE programming soon.

#1. Seth Rollins set for a heel turn

CM Punk killed two birds with one stone at Money in the Bank. He made Drew McIntyre waste his cash-in and accidentally took Seth Rollins out of the World Heavyweight Championship picture.

As a result, The Visionary can't challenge for the prestigious prize as long as Damian Priest is the champion. The Straight Edge Superstar issued an apology of sorts to Seth Rollins last week but ended up receiving a stern warning.

According to Xero News, The Architect is going to turn heel soon, which will play into his program with CM Punk heading into WrestleMania next year.

With CM Punk and Drew McIntyre seemingly locked in for SummerSlam on August 4, it will be interesting to see if Seth "Freakin" Rollins will play a factor in the outcome.
