John Cena and Nikki Bella: The love story that evolved in and around WWE
John Cena and Nikki Bella are the power couple of the WWE. Fans have been able to watch their relationship blossom on episodes of Total Divas and can now get even more of their relationship on the new show Total Bellas. These are two of the biggest names currently in wrestling today and they also happen to be dating a true WWE love story.
Cena has been known in the WWE since 2002 when he made his debut. If you have been watching wrestling or just not living under a rock anytime in the last decade, chances are you have seen or heard of him.
One thing WWE likes to keep quite is Cena has been known to date around the WWE quite a bit. He has had rumoured relations with everyone from Mickie James to Kelly Kelly to AJ Lee, even adult film star Kendra Lust.

He married his high school sweetheart Elizabeth Huberdeau in 2009. They later went through a very public divorce in 2012. During the divorce Cena’s ex wife accused him of having numerous affairs with some of the above mentioned names.
One of the biggest names was Mickie James who he was seen on tv kissing, apparently when the relationship went south Cena used his Face That Runs the Place status to have Mickie fired.
Nikki Bella has been in the WWE since 2007 when she started wrestling for Florida Championship Wrestling, which later turned into NXT. Nikki also reportedly dated Dolph Ziggler from around 2008 to at least 2010.
When they met, they were both training at FCW. This storyline has been shown on Total Divas when Dolph told Nikki that he still loved her and wanted to marry her, something John Cena would not do. Nikki turned down his offer and said she has gotten over Ziggler and wants to stay with John.
Nikki’s sister Brie Bella joined the main roster on August 29, 2008 where she beat Victoria in a match. The following months Brie Bella's matches would end with her going under the ring and coming out much fresher to take the win called Twin Magic.

On October 31st on Smackdown, Victoria, who Brie continued her feud with, pulled Nikki out from under the ring by mistake. This was Nikki’s big introduction to the WWE Universe. The two then went on to have tag team matches with other Diva teams.
While at first the Bellas drifted around Smackdown, ECW and RAW at random. The Bellas had feuds and matches here and there, but was mostly used as managers for teams like Rhodes Scholars and Carlito and Primo. Once the show Total Divas aired, the Bella twins quickly became stars and things started to change.
Nikki and John started dating in 2012. Right around the time Nikki started to having bigger feuds. Her biggest feud was turning heel on her own sister Brie while she was fighting Stephanie McMahon at Summerslam. This lead to a match between the two where the loser had to be the winner’s personal assistant.
Nikki went on to win the Divas Championship and become the longest reigning Divas Champion, an accomplishment she will always have now that the title has been retired (thank god there is no more stupid butterfly belt).
While the Cena and Nikki Bella are both on SMACKDOWN LIVE, they rarely ever interact with each other on the show. However, you can watch Nikki and Cena’s relationship in all it’s glory on the E! Show Total Divas or the new show Total Bellas.
Where the two go through the rigamarole of any relationship, they fight, talk cute, gossip about Daniel Bryan, plus you get to see John Cena get handsy with Nikki.
Perfect for anyone who wants to know what the life behind the scenes of being a WWE Superstar is really like. The two live together in John Cena’s giant house in Florida, which can be seen on Total Bellas in all its enormity.
While the two may seem like the perfect WWE power couple, there is one small problem.
John Cena refuses to marry Nikki Bella. He made his reasoning behind the decision clear in an episode of Total Divas, when he said, "Would I love to marry you? Absolutely. I love you, and I love you more than I've loved anyone in my entire life. What I'm afraid of, and this is the one thing I'm very afraid of... If we were to get married tomorrow, and then you come to the conclusion that you want children, you know where I stand. In no way would I ask you to sacrifice anything for me."
So while you can watch the two be all lovey dovey on Total Divas or Total Bellas do not expect a wedding episode anytime soon.
