WWE News: John Cena offers his take on Bradley Cooper playing Vince McMahon

John Cena
Cena comments on McMahon Biopic rumour about Bradley Cooper.

What's the story?

TMZ today uploaded a video on their website and YouTube channel of one of their reporters asking WWE Superstar John Cena about Bradley Cooper being rumoured as the actor that will play the part of Vince McMahon in the upcoming biopic about the WWE Chairman.

In case you didn't know...

In April of this year, it was announced that a biopic about the life of 71-year-old WWE Chairman Vince McMahon would be made. The biopic will be called 'Pandemonium'.

Craig A. Williams has written the script for it, and Andrew Lazar, who produced American Sniper, is producing it along with WWE Studios President Michael Luisi and Adam Goldman of Aperture's Entertainment (who aided in developing the script).

Lazar bought the rights to McMahon's life back in April and it is thought that TriStar Pictures are the film studios involved in making the biopic.

Bradley Cooper is a well-known actor, known especially for his part in the Hangover movies, which were very funny indeed.

The heart of the matter

Today, TMZ uploaded a video of one their reporters speaking with John Cena, who was with fiancee and fellow WWE Superstar Nikki Bella after she performed on Dancing with the Stars (Cena made an appearance with her on the show too).

The reporter asked Cena did he think that Bradley Cooper was 'too cute' to play the role of Vince McMahon in the biopic, and Cena responded with a wink 'Vince McMahon's a cute guy'. This seemed like Cena's comic way of giving his approval to Cooper possibly getting the role.

Here is the video from TMZ:

What's next?

Sooner rather than later, a lead actor for the biopic must be picked, and Bradley Cooper is definitely someone who could earn this film a bit of attention. Hopefully, the biopic won't take too long to make and we will see Vince McMahon's life story on the big screen in a while.

Author's take

I would absolutely love Bradley Cooper to be Vince McMahon in the biopic. Since he has been in many big movies and has played serious and funny roles very well, I think Cooper could definitely do McMahon's character justice.

So hopefully we'll be hearing soon 'YOU'RE HIRED!' in regards to Bradley Cooper. In regards to the biopic itself, I think it will be amazing and very insightful if told from a non-biased point of view.

Cena would also not be a bad choice as the actor to play McMahon if Cooper is not available, but I 'can't see' him doing that, despite him saying before he would 'love' to do it.
