#5 A pre-fame John Cena spoofs during the auditions
Before John Cena was a superstar who main evented several Wrestlemanias and went to become one of the most accomplished, decorated and popular professional wrestlers of all time, he was just a shredded bodybuilder who was trying to break through into the entertainment industry.
He was focused especially on the sports entertainment industry with his mind probably set on making a jump into the business. This is a very rare video which has been removed and re-uploaded multiple times on YouTube.
Here, a young and pre-fame John Cena is involved in a spoof where unassuming victims showed up for what they thought was an audition for a small, non-speaking, walk-on role in an action film. Cena plays a key role of a visibly terrifying "Bruebaker”.
The prank clip involves some profanities but it’s one of the rarest clips involving John Cena you could ever find online.
#4 John Cena pranks wrestling fans over the Heel turn
The Wrestling fans, especially some of the more hardcore ones, have never been shy of expressing their desire to see John Cena finally make his move to the dark side.
Cena has always maintained that he is a company guy first and foremost and believes that becoming a bad guy would entail not being true to who he is in real life. Needless to say, John Cena does hear all the chatter surrounding the same and has never pulled any punches to prank and troll the fans who continue to clamour for The Champ’s heel turn.
The latest example of Cena playing with the fans’ feelings occurred when he tweeted out the following earlier this year:
Ok interweb, ponder this, I was hurt. Upon return to @WWE I'll be healthy. So @WWEUniverse does that mean I've finally turned #heal ?

#3 John Cena Prank Call
The John Cena prank phone call was on a radio show calling up to “offer” a Pay-Per-View wrestling show to a lady who absolutely DESPISES wrestling and vows that there would never be a trace of wrestling in her house. But she absolutely can’t stop answering the phone.
Now this prank call doesn’t actually feature John Cena himself but it involves hilarious segue ways by an overwhelmingly excited radio announcer plugging the upcoming Sunday event, urging the lady to buy ‘WWE SuperSlam!”
The lady is told that she’d get to see John Cena in action along with a few other superstars who are name-dropped such as The Undertaker, Triple H, Big Show and CM Punk.
Normal prank phone call videos are just whatever. But this clip was anything but that. The profanities used by the harried lady just provide the necessary icing on the already sheer awesomeness that is the radio prank call.
For some weird reason, hearing another human being lose their mind over something is one of the most entertaining things of all time. Here is an animated version which tries to depict the frustration of the annoyed lady
Later on, various versions of this soundboard were used in different situations. Such as the next one.
#2 A fan uses John Cena prank call on Domino’s Pizza
This Youtube user decided to use the soundboard of the John Cena prank call to troll Domino’s Pizza. He admitted that he was not going to order any pizzas but was doing this for the sheer enjoyment of it and for the entertainment of his subscribers.
It just so happened that a guy named Champ used to work at the Domino’s outlet where he called. Coincidence, huh?
#1 John Cena hidden camera fan prank
Everyone knows the popular meme of the ‘Unexpected John Cena’ or ‘It’s John Cena’. No one knew though that some day the meme would become a reality.
That is exactly what happened when the 15-time World Champion surprised fans as part of a hidden camera prank for Cricket Wireless. Before the official prank began, Cena stated:
“I have invaded the internet on a sometimes annoying meme. Thanks to Cricket Wireless, today we get to make that meme real."
CW gathered a bunch of John Cena superfans and duped them into taking part into a commercial for their soon-to-be-launched WWE-themed store.
As each fan described the quality they admired the most about Big Match John, Cena would then tear through the Cricket Wireless sign flanked by a group of trumpet players playing a version of his theme song ‘My time is now’
Cena's sudden appearance certainly overwhelmed some fans who ran immediately to hug him or fell down onto the floor like one fan in particular who noted how he would "risk a limb" to meet Cena.
This surprise prank was inspired by the frequently used meme in which Cena would appear or his theme music would play in a completely unrelated video clip involving movies or TV shows. Here is the full video of the John Cena hidden camera prank by Cricket Wireless:
