John Cena to return and save Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns from The Rock? Exploring next chapter of the Bloodline saga
John Cena made a huge announcement at Money in the Bank a few months ago. Making known his intention to retire in 2025, the Leader of the Cenation confirmed he would be going on a retirement tour. While the WWE Universe got to know they would see him in 2025, the question arose, could he be scheduled for an appearance earlier? Well, perhaps he might return and save Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns from The Rock.
Over the weekend, The Rock made an emphatic return, much to the surprise of the WWE Universe and the unlikely duo of Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns. The Final Boss didn't say much at first but let his feelings be known backstage. It was clear to see that Rock was unhappy with both The American Nightmare and the Original Tribal Chief, and this leaked out backstage as a couple of people caught a few stray insults, including John Cena.
Passing by a couple of trucks in a seven-minute-long video he posted online, The Rock chanced upon one with John Cena's face plastered on it. This led him to point at it and shout out angrily that Cena should continue eating his "fruity pebbles." Clearly, the 52-year-old still seemed unhappy with Cena's interference at WrestleMania 40. Well, perhaps this comment could incite The Leader of the Cenation to return.
With WarGames just weeks away, and RAW's move to Netflix inching closer, it remains a possibility. Perhaps there comes a time when The Rock ambushes Rhodes and Reigns, and Cena would be the one who could come out and save the day. That said, this is nothing more than speculation, and only time will tell how things unfold.
John Cena is reportedly confirmed to make an appearance at RAW's debut on Netflix
January 6, 2025, can't come sooner, as with it also comes the debut of Monday Night RAW on Netflix. The move signifies a huge change for WWE, both in terms of how they deliver their product and the business of pro wrestling as a whole. The episode is sure to be a lively one with plenty of big surprises, and according to several reports, one of them would be John Cena.
A report from Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp suggested that WWE would be treating their first episode on Netflix like a PLE. Several stars, including some from SmackDown, are expected to be a part of it. And the kicker is, of course, Cena, who is apparently confirmed to be making an appearance as well.
The WWE Universe will be counting the days down to January 6. It's certain to be a massive event, one that will change the industry forever. Safe to say, the anticipation is high for what WWE has planned.
