John Cena drops another hint of an early WWE return?
John Cena, being John Cena, is refusing to let his recent injury keep him down and took to social networking site Twitter to announce to his followers that one of his goals this week was to hit the gym in order to do some squats, while adding the hashtag #nevergiveup.
Cena has been out of action since the beginning of the year due to a shoulder injury and went under the knife on the 7th of last month to correct the same. The surgery, which took around an hour to complete, was delicate enough to keep the star out for a whole month, with the wrestler advised not to tax his shoulder with extra weight as a precaution.
While speaking to WWE.com, Cena’s surgeon – Dr. Jeffrey Dugas said, “He had a complete tear of a small portion of the rear rotator cuff tendon, the infraspinatus — toward the top-back of his shoulder — which I repaired.”
“Also, there was a large piece of loose tissue in his shoulder that needed to be removed,” he added.
Here’s wishing the 38-year-old a speedy recovery and a swift return to in-ring action.
