Kevin Nash played hardball with Vince McMahon over Hall of Fame

Nash did it his way

PWinsider.com is reporting that Kevin Nash had his own terms in mind for being inducted in to the Hall of Fame and would not back down when negotiating with Vince McMahon.

Vince wanted Nash to be inducted as Diesel, the character he played while in WWE, but Nash insisted he use his real name because it makes him more marketable for his other projects.

Nash also felt that being recognized as Diesel made little sense, since he had his biggest impact on wrestling under the Nash name. In fact it’s often argued that he was one of the lowest drawing Champions in WWE history as Diesel, which is not something to celebrate.

Nash was put over at the Hall of Fame for being a shrewd businessman and paving the way for talent to get better contracts. This is said to have annoyed McMahon.

He was also upset with Alundra Blayze’s speech because she used cuss words and ?praised Eric Bischoff and WCW.
