Kevin Owens becomes the new Intercontinental Champion
Kewin Owens became the new Intercontinental champion as he beat the champion Dean Ambrose, Tyler Breeze, Dolph Ziggler and Stardust in a Fatal 5-way match with a pop-up Powerbomb to Tyler Breeze.
This week’s episode of Monday night Raw started with Dean Ambrose calling out Brock Lesnar, but Stephanie McMahon comes out and announces a Fatal 5-way match for the Intercontinental Championship.
It was a fantastic match with five great in-ring wrestlers fighting it for the title. Everyone had their chances, but none of them managed to cover one opponent successfully. Ziggler went for a zig-zag on Ambrose with Breeze attacking Ziggler from behind.
Owens then delivers a pop-up powerbomb on Breeze for the victory. With this, Owens becomes a two-time Intercontinental champion as his first stint ended at the hands of Ambrose at TLC. Since then, both of them had a great rivalry that was on all the way till Royal Rumble where Dean beat him in a Last Man standing match.
