Kevin Owens' new partner; Nick Aldis' big surprise? 4 Things Penta El Zero Miedo can do upon his potential WWE debut on SmackDown
WWE Friday Night SmackDown will air tomorrow, and fans are already getting excited for the upcoming show. The program is the last episode of the blue brand ahead of Saturday Night's Main Event's big return on December 14.
So far, three matches have been confirmed for SmackDown. Carmelo Hayes is set to battle a mystery opponent, and there will be two Women's United States Championship Tournament Semi-Final matches ahead of the summit clash on Saturday.
There could be another big moment on the show. Former All Elite Wrestling star Penta El Zero Miedo has recently become a free agent and seemingly has no contractual ties to other wrestling organizations. Many believe he could soon be signed by Triple H.
If he has already been signed, Penta could make his official debut on Friday Night SmackDown tomorrow. This article will take a look at a handful of ways the former AEW star can debut if he does indeed appear on the show.
Below are four things Penta El Zero Miedo can do upon his potential WWE debut on this week's SmackDown:
#4. He could be Carmelo Hayes' mystery challenger
Carmelo Hayes had an interesting segment on WWE SmackDown last week. After seeing Nick Aldis talk to RAW's Gunther, The A-Champion complained about not getting adequate attention and even teased moving to the red brand via the Transfer Window.
An annoyed Nick Aldis then revealed that Carmelo would face a mystery opponent on the next edition of Smackdown, which is this week's show. The YouTube video promoting the upcoming bout noted it was somebody new to SmackDown.
Melo's opponent being someone new to SmackDown limits the potential options considerably. His opponent could end up being Penta, who could go on to defeat the former NXT Champion.
#3. Penta El Zero Miedo could stand beside Andrade against the New Bloodline
A segment on last week's WWE SmackDown went awry multiple times. It started as a celebration for the new United States Champion, Shinsuke Nakamura, but he was interrupted by LA Knight. The Megastar was then interrupted by Andrade.
Later, the New Bloodline's Solo Sikoa, Jacob Fatu, and Tama Tonga showed up. They shockingly attacked Knight and Andrade. However, the trio let Nakamura leave. This means The Megastar and El Idolo will likely want revenge on the WWE stable.
With Nakamura not on their side, Andrade and LA Knight would need a third man. Penta El Zero Miedo could have their backs. If Knight and Andrade can't work together, at the very least, El Idolo and Penta can operate in tandem and try to take on Solo, Jacob, and Tama.
#2. He could challenge Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE United States Title
Shinsuke Nakamura has long been one of WWE's most underrated and underutilized performers. The King of Strong Style has been with the company for quite some time, but his booking has been underwhelming.
However, the Japanese star's current push has proven to be fruitful. Upon returning to WWE television with a new look and attitude last month, Nakamura defeated LA Knight at Survivor Series: WarGames for the coveted United States Championship. This means Shinsuke will soon need new challengers to step up and take him on.
Penta El Zero Miedo could debut as Shinsuke Nakamura's next opponent. The two can put on a classic if both stars are motivated enough and put in the right spots. Perhaps they could clash in the January 25, 2025, edition of Saturday Night's Main Event That would be a great place to showcase the two talented performers.
#1. Penta El Zero Miedo could be revealed as Kevin Owens' new associate
Kevin Owens has changed. This is not because of his heel turn. The Prizefighter has been a villain in WWE in the past as well. However, this time, things are different. KO isn't strictly looking to win a title. Instead, he is angry and looking to hurt those who he feels betrayed him.
Randy Orton felt Kevin's wrath on SmackDown last month, and The Viper has since been out of action. Now, The Prizefighter is engaged in a heated rivalry with his former friend and current Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes. Unfortunately, Owens hasn't had the best track record against The American Nightmare, as he already lost to the 39-year-old earlier this year.
This could be where Penta El Zero Miedo comes in. The Lucha star could debut as KO's associate on tonight's SmackDown. From there, he could help Owens win the Undisputed WWE Championship at Saturday Night's Main Event, officially shaking up everything fans know.
