WWE News: Kevin Owens weighs in on being picked late in the Draft
Former intercontinental champion Kevin Owens recently gave an interview through a media call. Thanks to ProWrestling.com, we have some interesting insights on what the former NXT Champion thinks about the new era and more. Below are some highlights from the interview:
Following his on-screen persona Owens replied something like this to the question of who will emerge as a star from this new era:
“The only thing that matters to me is what I do and how I do it. You’re asking me who will emerge from the New Era. As humbly as I can put it, within a few months or a few years, people will see that I am the best thing on RAW, the best thing in WWE.”
Kevin also commented on WWE drafts claiming that while he understands being picked later to guys like John Cena or Dean Ambrose, he still believes that being picked as late as he was a disrespect for him:
“I was picked way later than I should have been. I mean, I understand not being picked before Roman Reigns or John Cena or Ambrose or Seth Rollins, those guys have been the figureheads of WWE for several years now.
But being picked as late as I was, was kind of a slap in the face, to be honest. But I’ll use it as motivation as to why I should be the face of RAW.”
Along with this, Kevin Owens also talked about possibilities of working with Raw General Manager Mick Foley and more.
